My current research focuses on investigating design methodologies and techniques to facilitate mental well-being through affective interactions and multisensory design.

I also really enjoy making things; whether it’s building furniture, creating playful devices, or crafting sensory objects.

Reina Mun is a designer and researcher whose work spans interactive and responsive design and spatial constructs. By integrating machine learning, physical computing, digital fabrication, and sensory design, she explores the affective and cognitive dimensions of human sensory experience and tangible interactions.

Reina received her MS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a graduate fellow, focusing her research on interactive strategies and the affective influences of material artifacts. Before that, she graduated with honors from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London, earning a BArch and RIBA Part 1 certification.

Alongside her research, Reina is a lecturer at the Rhode Island School of Design and teaches at Northeastern University. She has also been a visiting studio critic at the Architectural Association. Professionally, she has collaborated with creative studios in Seoul, New York, Berlin, and London.
